Ran out of coffee this morning. Not happy.

Well, to be exact, I ran out of ground coffee – there’s an entire kilo of beans in the freezer. I just don’t have any good way to grind them yet.

I may be forced to pull out the old hand grinder tomorrow morning – desperate times call for desperate measures. Bad coffee ahoy!

Today I made my final payment on my Macbook Pro. Hurray for stuff!

Of course, I won’t be buying a thing until late October when LittleBigPlanet comes out, due to the expense of the Vibiemme. Well, I guess I can afford a tamper, right..?

…apparently I can!

Today I picked up the espresso machine that I have been nattering to all and sundry about for the last few weeks. It’s a Vibiemme Domobar Super, a real workhorse of a machine. The problem is that the grinder doesn’t arrive until later this week and I also don’t have a tamper worth a damn, so the shots we have been making for ourselves are… rather inconsistent, despite all the advice given to us by Chris at Talk Coffee.

Here it is sitting next to the Nemox it is replacing. See if you can guess which is which.

Maybe it’s just nostalgia, but Trading Places still holds up for me. And man, Jamie Lee Curtis had smokin’ boobs.

I love Windows XP. I love the amount of care and effort put into it by Microsoft, especially the setup process.

AND.. I took photos today!

I just got back from Ballarat – it is seriously freezing up there. It hailed, and I think it maxed out at 2˚C. Poor Mopsy chewed through petrol like crazy to compensate for the dense air.

Luckily, I got some birthday money! Yay!
