Well, damn it all. I had all these ideas for a blog post over the last few days and I think I’ve just over-thought it and fallen out of love with the topic (I was going to spout some uninformed ramblings about the future of cinema in this country).
Or perhaps I’m afraid to commit to writing something substantial after so many years spent writing nothing worthwhile. Maybe I worry that nobody is interested in what I have to say. That’s something I can sort out with some drinkyhol over Easter, perhaps.
I spent a fair amount of the evening talking to my brother on the phone. We don’t see each other much, and I don’t think we really have that much in common. He married very early and has four kids, runs his own business and lives out in the sticks. I have successfully avoided marriage for nine years, hate the idea of spawning, still have no clue how to forge a career for myself and love being close to the city. The only things we really have in common is an interest in cars and home theatre.
I’m going to be seeing him tomorrow for our family Easter get-together, where I shall make fun of his stomach while carefully concealing my own. Enjoy your holiday, everybody. Drive safe.
just got home from a big chunk-o-easter holiday, hope yours was good? big yays for no work til next tuesday
