A sudden outbreak of common sense
Warner just announced that they’re ceasing production of HD-DVD discs in mid-2008. Reports have flooded in from all over the Internet – the high-definition war is nearly over. Only Universal and Paramount are HD-DVD exclusive.

Once everybody’s on the same side, economies of scale kick in and we start buying high-def media at JB-Hifi for $15 each. If you haven’t seen a good Blu-ray disc, you have no idea how fantastic it looks and sounds.
I won’t be buying another standard DVD again. It’s Blu-ray all the way for me from now on. If I can’t get it on Blu-ray, I’ll simply wait – that’s better than buying it twice.
