I’ve started putting links to the films I’ve seen this year in the sidebar, because I was so jealous that Crumpet had been doing it all through 2007.

Getting one up over Crumpet is always my reason for getting up in the morning, so hovering your mouse over a link will give you a tooltip with my initial rating of the film. Note that my opinions change over time and the judge’s decision is final. Offer void where prohibited. SA residents may send a hand-drawn facsimile.

And in Outlook I had two mailboxes open, my own and another that we were using to track bouncing emails on the server. I wanted to close the second mailbox, so I right-click on it and there’s an option that says ‘Close mailbox’.

I click the option, and Outlook tells me, ‘This mailbox is linked to an email account. To close it, select Tools->Email Accounts, etc etc etc’.

Here’s an idea, Microsoft: If you KNOW what I’m trying to do, instead of telling me how to do it manually, WHY NOT DO IT AUTOMATICALLY? IS THAT NOT THE POINT OF A COMPUTER???

Or alternatively, if I can’t close a linked mailbox by right-clicking on it, WHY is there an option to close it when I do so?
