Hopefully one's not born every minute

December 12, 2007 by paul

I was doing some searching for an HDMI-DVI adapter to hook the PS3 up to my LCD monitor, and found that Dick Smith are selling Monster HDMI cables for $300 for a 1.5 metre length.

People, that’s a horrific ripoff. You can buy a cable – even in expensive stores – for $40 or less and being digital, it either works or it doesn’t. Anybody telling you otherwise has shares in Monster.

on a not-so-related note: i got a call from a friend last night. she was going to buy a MacBook, but when she called she asked me how to turn on the webcam on her new HP, with Vista.
I sighed. Apparently the sales guy had told she’d need to buy ‘heaps of other stuff’ for a Mac to be any good.

I cry for people. I cry forever.

And for a Vista machine to be any good, you need to buy a Mac..
