My mother was retrenched by Telstra a month or so ago, and it looks like her Bigpond email account has finally been closed. I’ve been using it for the last – god – 8 years or so as my spam email account. Because I knew that it wouldn’t be around for ever once she left the company, I’ve been pointing all my mailing lists across to my Gmail account, but I’m sure I’m going to run into trouble at some point in the future when a random forum wants to send email to it.

Now to transfer our phone across to Primus and get ADSL2…
