Drew lent me the aforementioned game, and I have to say it would probably be fantastic if they’d only gotten programmers who had driven a car in their lives… ever.

I suspect that’s why, when I asked when he wanted it returned, he said, “No rush.”

Gran Turismo 5

I just showed Crumpet the high-definition trailer to GT5 and confused the hell out of her. She said, “It won’t look like this in the game, will it?” and I said, “Yes…”

And she said, “But this looks like video!” and I said, “Yes…”

And now I think she understands why I bought the PS3. Even if I was extremely naughty in doing so. :)

Serious face

My aunt is in the last few months of her life. She was diagnosed with motor neurone disease a couple of years ago and has the most aggressive kind there is.

You can help find a cure for MND and other incurable diseases by visiting the Folding at Home site and donating some computer time to discovering how protein folding works.

Mac Trick of the Month

Open your Applications folder, select a program and press Cmd-I to get info on it. Expand the Languages drop-down, and select all the languages except English. Hit the minus button to delete them. Empty the trash.

Watch hard drive space come back.
