Movies, a ya ya ya ya

Published by Paul at 6:35 pm under Film, Music

Today I hired a few DVDs because it was cheaparse Tuesday. They were The Departed, The Machinist, Saw, and Happy Feet. I’m not sure that combination has ever been hired by the same person before…

Oh, and Crumpet bought me a Cyndi Lauper best-of CD, because the JB site wasn’t working properly last night.

Screw you if you don’t dig the Laup.

Happy Feet - I saw portions of this at my folks house (grandkids were watching), and I must say that I was remarkably underwhelmed by what I saw.

    Everyone digs the Laup.

Happy Feet underwhelmed me as well, and I wasn’t really expecting much… but it was $1 Tuesday, and pretty much anything is worth trying for 50 cents an hour…

I enjoyed The Departed - seemed to be more character-driven than Infernal Affairs, although that may just be my lack of ‘comfort’ with Asian cinema. I’ve been watching US films my entire life, but I’ve seen under 50 HK films…
