Winter-ish

Published by Paul under Music

How annoying to quite like SxSW tracks by the bands Winterpills and Wintersleep (good video at this site!).

I’ve started the purchasing process for the Pink Nasty albums… here’s hoping it all works proper-like.

Oh, and I picked up a guitar today. Watch out, I might record something…

Interesting

Crumpet has just informed me that Safari is ignoring my recent post on SxSW if you rely on its RSS reader to see when I’ve updated. There’s not a lot I can do to change this (I’m doing nothing whatsoever to my RSS feed, and it validates fine). I’ve been using NewsFire for my RSS needs for the last couple of years, and it displays the feed perfectly.

Suggestion for Crumpet - NetNewsWire Lite - better than Safari’s RSS and free! Perfect for filthy students.

Other suggestion - Safari -> Report Bugs to Apple…

edit: Updated WordPress to version 2.1.2, let’s see if that helps at all…

extra edit: Updated the theme too. How pretty!

First find from SxSW 2007

…is, ironically, somebody who had a song in the 2006 SxSW collection, but I hadn’t heard due to the whims of the iTunes shuffle function.

So, the singer is the unfortunately named Pink Nasty, aka Sara Beck, friend of the winsome Will Oldham. I highly recommend you follow the convenient link and listen to the magnificence of the track “BTK Blues”.

I’ll be buying both her albums as soon as my bank balances exceeds the price of a can of instant coffee.
