Post-zoom Mopsy

Published by Paul at 11:34 pm under Zoom-zoom

Steve and I just got back from Apollo Bay this evening. We left from the service station just before the Westgate Bridge at 12pm, thrashed the 3MPS and VZ Monaro down the Great Ocean Road, stopped along the way for photo opps, then came back via the Otway National Park (which is gorgeous) and Colac (which is… not so much).

My average mileage was a tad under 11L/100km, Steve got 12.6L/100km, which is excellent for a V8. Mine wasn’t so hot because I was on boost most of the time… but I’ve said too much…

Was a great drive, I so thoroughly enjoyed it. Pics are just a bonus but to drive around those roads was awesome. Loved it.

And not crashing and dying horribly = priceless.

Thanks for giving me so much time in front. It was great fun setting the pace, although I always felt like Shmoo wanted me to go faster, what with those fog lights glaring balefully at me in the rear view mirror…
