Because Crumpet wanted to see it
Thanks Drew for the link.

It must be because Christmas is coming up – today I recalled the worst Christmas present I ever got. It was back when I was about 9, and I’d wanted one of those compilation cassettes (advertised on TV!) that I’m sure most of you listened to when you were young and too stupid to know better. I was so excited when I unwrapped it but when I put it on, oh the humanity!
NOT THE ORIGINAL ARTISTS!
…Yep, that cassette (well, it was a double cassette) never made it through a single side.
My best ever Christmas present of course was Henry.
Do any of you have any best/worst Christmas present stories?

I just got a speeding fine in the post today. My crime? Apparently I was doing 60 in a 50 zone, somewhere along Nicholson St. I wasn’t aware there were any 50 zones along Nicholson St, but nevermind. Fortunately I was brought to justice before my outrageous speed could cause death or injury to others. Oh, wait. I guess nothing happened… except for dropping $134 into the government’s pocket.
NOW THE WORLD IS SAFE!

Maybe nobody except Crumpet cares, but I have been enjoying this series of blog entries (on Myspace of all places!). It’s a series of conversations with Andy Partridge about seminal XTC songs, and it’s fascinating.
I just linked to an RSS feed, so let’s see who’s still not using an RSS reader…

Steve and I spent an excellent Saturday afternoon hustling our vehicles about, out past Warburton way. The only slightly off moment was walking into a Marysville café for coffee and suddenly wondering if the proprietor thought we were a gay couple.
Anyhow, here’s the crappy video I shot. I’m going to see what I can do about making or buying a proper mount for the camcorder to avoid Shake-O-Vision.

Having a computer with a built-in web camera can lead you to do stupid things.

I’ve seen this before, but I love it so dearly that I want to be sure that my thousands hundreds dozens five readers have seen it as well.

I feel like this a lot. Although, going by my ongoing camera saga, I’m not sure shopping online in this country is a great deal better. I guess at least I save on fuel – I can be told everything is backordered without paying a cent.
Seriously, why can’t anybody get stock of anything in this country?
