Been busy as hell if you must know…

It has arrived. And verily, it is good.
I’d say the 3MPS is as easy to drive as the Telstar was. The clutch is terrific compared to the 6MPS, which is tiring in stop-start traffic. I only stalled the car once after picking it up, and that was while I was reaching across to the passenger side to put some anti-virus packages into the map holder. In comparison, I stalled the 6MPS twice today and I’ve been driving it daily since Friday.
The 6 really hits the boost when you reach 3000 RPM, giving you a kick in the pants, and the 3 at first felt slower until I realised that that’s because the torque is coming in much lower in the rev range. It feels like a bigger, naturally-aspirated engine. This is great for making your acceleration feel nice and smooth, but also tricks you into thinking you’re going slower than you actually are. Already this afternoon I accidentally hit 80 in a 60 zone without realising it.
I hope Crumpet doesn’t read this post.

..down in my heart!
where?
Down in my heart!
where?
Down in my heart!
Oh yes, I have the loan car… the Mazda6 MPS. Which, as I explained to my sister, should come with several extra licenses when you buy it. To replace the one you lose in the first week.
Indeed, it is spanking good fun, and the best aspect is that my car (coming Tuesday) is even faster.

No car tomorrow. Apparently it has a couple of small dents on the roof which are being fixed at the moment. I’ve been offered a loan vehicle over the weekend, either an RX-8 or a Mazda6 MPS - I think I’ll go for the MPS, as it’s faster, more practical and less thirsty. I guess the picnic on the weekend is still on..?
More news as it comes.
