What kind of screaming retard rips music at 48kbps? The kind that use filesharing networks, apparently, where if you’re lucky you might get 128kbps MP3s. Naturally they sound like dogshit through headphones or decent speakers, so what’s the freaking point?

All the real music fans seem to have left the P2P scene (for the iTunes music store, I guess), leaving behind the mouthbreathers that collect tens of thousands of bad songs to try to give their worthless lives meaning (”I have 78Gb of songs! Haven’t listened to most of them, but I’m really sticking it to The Man!”).

edit: All is forgiven, as I find a 192kbps Nina Nastasia track that will serve me until I can buy her rather excellent ‘Run to Ruin’ album. I’m so anomalous, no?
