Darn

Published by Paul under Music

I checked the iTunes Music Store this morning, and it looks like most of Europe has access now, but Australia is still out in the cold. Apple have revealed that Canada will be getting it next month, so here’s hoping Australia does also.

Stolen from AppleInsider:

A recently published Apple info document is titled “How to pick up and carry your iMac G5.”

“Don’t know how to pick up and carry your iMac G5? It’s easy,” the document says. “Before moving your computer, make sure all cables and cords are disconnected.”

For those challenged iMac users, Apple details the tricky party. “Pick up the iMac G5 by grasping both sides of the computer. Carry it to wherever you wish.”

Sources warn that the document may be uncompleted, as no further instructions are listed. One frustrated iMac G5 adopter fumed in e-mail conversation with AppleInsider, demanding that Apple complete the document so they he may be instructed on how to safely “put the computer back down.”

Published by Paul under Macs

Apple added a ‘new’ PowerMac to their lineup last night, which essentially replaces the old single 1.6Ghz G5 machine with a single 1.8Ghz model. This would seem to answer the cries for a headless G5 machine except that Apple Australia has really dropped the ball on pricing. The US price is $1500, which works out to $2000 in our money, give or take.

Apple Australia is asking $2700.

I bought new RAM

Published by Paul under Geekery

The World of Warcraft beta has been coming ‘really soon’ for about two weeks now, so I decided to be proactive and get some more RAM for my aging PC beforehand. I knew if I didn’t that I’d be too addicted to stop playing, yet frustrated by the constant paging of memory to my hard drive.

I got the music in me

Published by Paul under Music

I sat down with headphones on and listened to some unfinished tracks today. Given the time, I do believe it’s possible that I’ll finish a couple of them this month. :)
